Ingredients

  • 200g sirloin steak
  • 200g napa cabbage
  • 1 can mandarin oranges (in juice)
  • 50g crispy wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons sesame ginger dressing

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the sliced sirloin steak with soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, then let it rest before slicing.
  3. While the steak is resting, prepare the napa cabbage by slicing it into thin strips and placing it in a large salad bowl.
  4. Slice the mandarin oranges and arrange them over the napa cabbage in the bowl.
  5. Fry the wonton wrappers in hot oil until crispy and golden, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Once the steak has rested, slice it thinly against the grain and lay it over the cabbage and oranges.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top of the salad for extra flavor.
  8. Drizzle with sesame ginger dressing before serving.
  9. For variations, consider adding avocado or substitute chicken if desired. Adjust the dressing according to your taste.
