Ingredients

  • 1 cup millet
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • ¼ cup crushed pistachios
  • Whole dates for garnish
  • Star anise for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of millet under cold water; drain well.
  2. In a pot, combine millet with 3 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of cardamom, and 1/4 teaspoon of ginger to the boiling millet.
