Ingredients

  • 500g lean beef
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 250g fresh spinach
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Diced cucumbers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating 500g of lean beef in a mixture of 3 tablespoons of gochujang, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook 1 cup of rice according to the package instructions, and stir in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds once done.
  3. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add 250g of fresh spinach and sauté until wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In the same pan, cook the marinated beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes, ensuring the marinade forms a glaze.
  5. Assemble your bowl with a base of sesame rice, topped with sautéed spinach, glazed beef, and chopped green onions as a garnish.
  6. Optionally, add diced cucumbers for extra crunch and freshness.
